Pupil Support Screening Services

Supporting schools with fast, reliable SEMH insights

SEMH needs are rising, but schools are under huge pressure. Staff time is stretched, budgets are tight, and referrals often take months. Early identification is key — yet existing tools can be time-consuming, expensive, or not designed with neurodivergent pupils in mind.

That’s where our SEMH Screening Service comes in.

What it is

  • A quick, student-friendly screening app for ages 8–18, designed by a team of neurodivergent specialists, mental health, and SEN professionals.

  • Takes around 10 minutes to complete on any device — simple, accessible, and engaging for young people.

  • Unlike traditional measures that focus narrowly on anxiety or depression, the Mental Health & Wellbeing Profile™  MWP™ explores a broader range of wellbeing domains relevant to both neurotypical and neurodivergent learners — including sensory processing, executive functioning, masking, and burnout.

  • Written in neurodivergent-affirming language, the MWP™ provides insight that feels authentic to students and trusted by parents and professionals, helping education settings identify support needs early and strengthen SEN or EHCP evidence.

How it works

Pupils complete the 10-minute questionnaire on the app, either independently or with TA support.

Responses are securely sent to ABC, where they are scored and interpreted by experienced SEMH professionals.

Within 2-3 working days, the school receives a clear written report, ready to share with staff, parents, or use for EHCP evidence and referrals.

Why schools choose this service

  • Research-informed: developed by mental health and neurodiversity specialists, grounded in current research and professional practice.

  • Professional quality assurance: every profile is interpreted by experienced SEMH specialists — never left as raw scores.

  • Saves staff time: no manual scoring or lengthy paperwork for SENCOs or class teachers.

  • Strengthens evidence: reports are written in clear, accessible language for EHCPs, referrals, and tribunal submissions.

  • Builds parent confidence: demonstrates that schools are listening, proactive, and inclusive in their approach.

  • Ofsted-ready: provides a structured, consistent method for tracking and evidencing SEMH support.

Data protection & confidentiality

We operate under strict GDPR compliance.  All data handled in compliance with GDPR; responses stored securely and only shared with authorised school staff.

Piloting Opportunity

We are currently partnering with a small number of schools and academy trusts to pilot the Mental Health & Wellbeing Profile™ (MWP) — a neurodiversity-affirming, research-informed screening tool for ages 8–18.

This pilot gives staff the opportunity to trial the tool, share feedback, and help shape the next stage of development.

By taking part, your school will:

  • Be among the first to use the MWP™ in practice

  • Help refine the service to better meet school and trust needs

  • Receive professional reports suitable for support planning, SEN evidence, and referrals

  • Benefit from a 3-working-day turnaround on all pilot reports, with full GDPR compliance

Arrange a call to discuss pilot availability and participation options.
