Mental Health & Wellbeing Profile™

A structured, child-centred wellbeing profile for understanding complex needs.

The Mental Health & Wellbeing Profile™ was developed in collaboration with families and fellow professionals, shaped by lived experience as well as clinical and therapeutic practice. It reflects the kinds of everyday difficulties, strengths, and patterns that families often recognise but feel are overlooked or dismissed by standard tools.

It is not a diagnosis or a screening tool, but a way of capturing what is often missed — particularly where needs are complex, masked, or misunderstood.

The MWP helps to:

  • Notice subtle signs and patterns that standard tools often miss

  • Build a layered picture, rather than a score or threshold

  • Highlight strengths as well as difficulties

  • Support next steps at home, in school, or with professionals

  • Helps children and young people articulate experiences they may find hard to put into words.

It is often particularly helpful where needs don’t neatly fit diagnostic boxes.
